ABOUT
I'm a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), Mayo Clinic certified wellness coach, author, public speaker, nature lover, mom of three amazing young adults, and lifelong athlete. I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master's Degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University. I have lived in seven states and three countries. When I'm not working, you will find me running, working out, spending time with my kids or friends, writing, enjoying good wine, food or coffee, listening to music, playing outdoors, reflecting or reading.
What really gets me fired up? When I'm working with a client and a lightbulb lights up inside them. When they discover a new way forward, a new part of themselves, or a more empowering way to see a situation or challenge. In those moments, I see and feel the client's energy brighten and expand and their personal power grow. Those are priceless and life changing moments.

MY
I know a bit about life transitions - the pain and the power.
I've transitioned geographically quite a bit, having lived in seven states and three countries. In my late 20s, I completely changed my life and lifestyle when I became religiously observant. Just before my 30th birthday, I married the father of my children. In my late 30's I divorced. In my 40's I was navigating a blended family, career changes, and the life-threatening illness of a child. Now at the beginning of my 50's I am in another life transition physically, emotionally, and professionally.
I know about transitions. I also know that life goes how it goes, rather than how we want or expect it to go. And we can either resist that reality or embrace the opportunity to grow. Although every challenge pushed me - often finding myself at the edge of what I thought I could handle - those challenges also forced me to dig deep and get in touch with what was most important to me. It drove me to get clear on what was in my control and what wasn't; what my priorities were and how I wanted to allocate my finite energy. I had to figure out what I wanted to leave behind and what I wanted to take forward in my life and within myself. And I had to repeat that process over and over with each new challenge.
Along the way, I had certain anchors that I leaned into that helped me get through whatever was happening. My healthy eating and consistent exercise habits were key. Talking to close friends and family. Drawing on my spiritual faith and reminding myself there is a bigger picture to all of our lives. Seeking out nature.
I also got very clear that self-awareness, self-respect and self-care are not selfish. They are survival. And they are the ticket to moving from muddling through to thriving.

IT'S TIME FOR
You are unique.
No one else has your exact combination of biology, talents, passions, personality, life experience, or circumstances.
No one knows you better than you.
And yet we have been trained that the answers to health and happiness lie outside of ourselves - often in the form of one-size-fits-all, commercialized programs.
However, when you look at the research or simply look around, we see that this outside-in approach has failed.

THE
The keys to your best life lie within you. My job as your coach is to help you tap into your own wisdom about what you want to change and how to best change it based on your life, your body, your values.
I will help you set goals as well as provide accountability and support along the way. We will comb through the challenging moments for learning and clarity, together.
This is hard work to do alone. If it was easy, we would all do it. The coaching relationship means that I am your trusted partner and guide. But you lead the way.

THE
Our partnership begins with a discovery session, the creation of your wellness vision, a strengths assessment, and initial goal setting.
Follow-up sessions include reviewing the past week, exploring what worked and what was challenging, brainstorming next steps, and adjusting goals as necessary.
Between-session touch points are built into the coaching structure.
Sessions are conducted by phone, video conference, or in-person (tri-state area).
Coaching sessions are 60 minutes long.
Packages range from 1-12 sessions.
Small group coaching is also available.
